Cranky Nicholas

For the longest time, he was stuck on 6 teeth. Now, he's working on his ninth. Actually, two molars are coming in at the same time, so he's been a bit out of sorts lately. Last night (this morning to be precise), he started shouting "milka" in a voice we'd never heard. It was one of clear pain and anguish. He just wanted something to soothe his sore gums.

Fun with Snakes

This morning, we went to the Beverly Hillls Farmer's Market to pick up some fruit and flowers. Much to our surprise, they had some sort of "Green/Earth Fair" type thing going on. THey had Beverly Hills Park Rangers with some of the wildlife in the fine parks of Beverly Hills. Here, we see Charlie, the gopher snake. He eats rodents. Nicholas did not want to touch him. The rangers were kind enough to deputize both Nicholas and John as Jr. Rangers.

The Water Boy

When I was younger, they used to call me "pescadito" or "little fish". I can't recall if it was because I liked fish or I liked to swim like a fish. Anywho, Our Nicholas seems to take after dear old dad. He wasn't scared to get into the wading pool. He just went for it. And, he even went in an inner tube.

Fun at St. A's

Saturday Night at the Marina

Last night, we took the boys out to Marina del Rey because we were out in The Chester at St. A's. We headed to Tony P's because we knew it was on the water and that the boys would like whatever we ordered them. We weren't prepared with a bib for Nicholas, but we improvised with a napkin. We ordered the mac and cheese for Nicholas, but it sat untouched. He just wanted to eat bread and french fries from John's grilled cheese. I figure it's ok since he can stand to gain a couple of pounds.

After dinner, we took a walk along the Marina to look at the boats and try to sneak into the pool at the Ritz Carlton. Sadly, the door was locked, so we couldn't look at the pool, but we did get to take a nice stroll along the docks. Nicholas even "donated" one of his toys to the water. He enjoyed running around on the pavement. When he took a tumble, he'd get back up and be ready to go and run some more. With all that activity, is it any wonder he's so light. I'm tempted to put him on a diet of ice cream and candy to fatten him up for his next check up.
go.

Ricky Bobby and Cal Naughton Jr. Would Be Proud

You'd have to be a fan of Talladega Nights to get that one.
